Positive Vibes Only!

In the midst of the “madness,” why not stay positive? It is so easy to get caught up in this “madness” but it’s a choice that we have as individuals to embrace the power of positive thinking. Below is a link to 7 Mindful Habits for Creating Positive Thoughts. What I enjoyed most about this article was thinking about how I could apply these habits to my life. As an individual I strongly believe in “Positive Vibes Only.” There is so much that goes on in one’s lifetime, that we need to remember that all we can do is the best that we can in the moment and stay positive.

It can be a difficult task to realize what power we give to our own thoughts. In the past, I found I would waste too much energy on negative thoughts, but I realized I can just as easily put energy into positive thinking and though many things in life are out of my control, this is something I have control over. There is no reason why I should dwell on the past, when I can live in the moment and look forward to the future. A few habits that I would like to share that resonated with me or that I will be focusing on more include: “The Power Of The People You Surround Yourself With,” “The Power of Contribution,” and “The Power of Tuning In.”

The Power Of The People You Surround Yourself With:

I enjoyed this habit because I truly believe that the people I surround myself with are the ones that will be sitting at the table at the end of the day. Not only will these people work on themselves but they will support the successes of others, including myself. I feel it is important to try and keep myself only around positive and successful people because I want to maintain my mindset of “Positive Vibes Only.” The more time you spend with successful people, the more you begin to find yourself attracting new people who will want to see you be the best you can be. They will inspire you and they will motivate you to succeed.

The Power of Contribution:

I’m not sure many people are familiar with The Law of Attraction, but it is magnetic and what you put out is going to be what you get back in life. I want to see myself focus on The Power of Contribution. What I found interesting was that in order to access the power of contribution, you can start asking yourself how you are currently contributing to the world. I was able to think of 5 things I am doing for others and I considered which were most effective. Then I tried coming up with 5 further ideas for how I can give more to others in the future. With that being said, never underestimate how much it means to someone just to check-in!

The Power of Tuning In:

Lastly, is the habit I would love to work on the most because I believe there is endless opportunity for growth in this area as an individual. Being able to tune into my higher consciousness makes an extreme difference in my ability to create my own positive thoughts. Exercises I have practiced meditation in the past and it is something I plan to revisit, as well as mindfulness. I strongly believe that setting time aside for yourself, to focus on yourself, is crucial to your overall well-being. One exercise I will be trying out is an exercise you do when you’re find it harder to channel those positive thoughts. This exercise’s main focus is to banish negativity and you do that by picturing it leaving your body in the form of a dark cloud and follow that image up with another image of gradually filling yourself with a golden light. Start at your toes and let it flow through your body, eventually working its way up to the top of your head. The goal of this technique release negativity and replace it with positive energy and optimism.
